Scope
This policy covers personal data processed when a merchant installs and uses our Shopify apps.
Data we process
Depending on the app and granted scopes, we may process shop data (domain, ID, locale, currency, plan), session/auth data (OAuth tokens and session records), configuration (merchant settings), and customer data only if an app is granted customer/order scopes. Most Elaan storefront micro-apps request minimal or no customer scopes and do not store customer PII beyond mandatory compliance webhooks. We do not sell personal data.
Why we process data
To provide and operate the app, authenticate merchants, improve reliability and support, and comply with legal obligations including Shopify mandatory compliance webhooks.
Legal bases
Contract performance, legitimate interests (security, support), and legal obligations where applicable.
Storage & retention
Session and shop records are kept while the app is installed. After uninstall, shop data is deleted upon Shopify’s shop/redact webhook (and/or within Shopify’s required timelines). Customer redaction requests are honored for any customer data we store.
Sharing
We use infrastructure providers (hosting, database, logging) strictly to run the apps. We do not share data with advertisers. Shopify remains the platform operator for the merchant’s storefront and admin.
International transfers
Data may be processed in the EU and/or other regions where our hosting providers operate, with appropriate safeguards.
Rights
Merchants and, where applicable, customers may request access, correction, or deletion via the merchant and/or by contacting contact@elaan.fr. Shopify also forwards mandatory privacy webhooks that we process.
Children
Our apps are intended for merchants operating commercial stores, not for children.
Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change; material changes may be communicated in the app listing or by email when appropriate.
